Usability and Clinical Application Design Collaborative Team

 

This TIGER Team was formed to develop recommendations for clinical application design and usability requirements that better support the nursing work force to use technology and information systems to provide safer, more effective, more efficient, and patient-centered care. Work Groups

 

Read more about the activities of the four work groups that have been formed. 

 

Work Group 1 - Create a list of relevant resources and references on clinical application design and usability. 

 

Work Group 2 - Collect case studies and examples that illustrate usability and clinical application design best and worst practices in various clinical environments.

 

Work Group 3 - Summarize recommendations for highly usable applications and good clinical application design.

 

Work Group 4 - Develop recommendations for working with vendors to provide feedback on usability and clinical application design.

 

Work Group 5 - Develop a "toolkit" for healthcare providers to use to facilitate and support better usability and clinical application design.
